COVID-19: Finance Resources

Since March of this year, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the economy, families, and individuals. It has truly been a humbling experience to reflect on the fact not that long ago, I was unemployed for nearly seven months scraping together what little I had to try to get to where I am now. Coming from a very poor immigrant background, I imagined a future where I would not have to wonder where food was coming from but could never really be sure that it would be a reality. In the midst of the devastation wrought by the pandemic, I know I now occupy a place of privilege in my food and financial security that I was unsure might ever be a reality, not just a year ago. I pray for a day when it is not a privilege but a right for people to have these basic needs not just met, but abundant.

Because of my background, there was little I knew about finances and how to manage money, especially in this country. People need FREE Resources now, and here are just a few:

Bola Sokunbi is a Certified Financial Education Instructor, money expert, and the CEO, best-selling author, and founder of Clever Girl Finance. She created Clever Girl Finance to provide women with a financial education that makes sense, the knowledge they need to take control of their finances, and the power to make informed financial decisions for their current and future selves. All 30 courses are free to the public at this time and she hosts an amazing podcast and is the author of two finance books.

Here is a FINANCIAL GUIDE from Annuity. It is long but has a lot of information about the things that may concern you about your finances at this time or just basic information that you would like to have streamlined in one place. They've done the work for you:

Until next time.
